Katherina Markowskaja

Katherina Markowskaja was born in Kiev, Ukraine where she completed her training at the National Ballet Academy of Arts. As a student, she was cast in performances of the National Ballet of Kiev. At the age of sixteen, she accepted a scholarship of the Heinz-Bosl-Foundation, offered to her by Konstanze Vernon. Ms. Markowskaja graduated from the Ballet-Academy Munich and subsequently joined the Saxon State Opera Ballet Dresden under artistic director Vladimir Derevianko. She was promoted to the rank of First Soloist two years later. In 1999, she received the Mary Wigman Award. From 2010, she worked as a freelance ballerina and trained with the Bavarian State Ballet, being engaged as a First Soloist  until the 2015/2016 season. For the 2016/2017 season she returned as a guest artist to Munich.

Michael Raynaud

Michael Raynaud – UK Michael Raynaud was born in Antony, near Paris. He started dancing at seven years old locally in the south of France before beginning his formal training at The Paris Opera Ballet School at the age of ten for six years. Whilst at the School, Michael performed all over the world touring to Japan, New York, Greece and France. Michael went on to train at the National Conservatoire in Paris, where he gained his Arts Baccalauréat and Unités de Valeurs in anatomy, Ballet history and musicality. On completing his training Michael joined the English National Ballet for their worldwide tour of Swan Lake. He then became a permanent member of the company, performing many roles in all the company’s Repertoire, from Rudolph Nureyev’s Romeo and Juliet to Derek Deane’s Swan Lake and Michael Corder’s Cinderella. His favourite ballets to perform are Harald Lander’s Etudes and Kenneth Macmillan’s Rite of Spring. Michael has taught ballet classes to students of all ages and coached ice skaters with their choreography for international competitions. He was Associate Tutor for Ballet studies at the Guildford School of Acting at Surrey University and ballet teacher at the London Boys Ballet School, London Junior/Senior Ballet at ArtsEd, for Professional Dance Experience in Leeds, and regular guest teaching worldwide. Most recently and upon graduating from the Royal Academy of Dance Professional Dancers Teaching Diploma, Michael was invited to teach workshops and summer schools at the Royal Academy of Dance Headquarters in London and throughout Europe. He is since September a permanent member of the Faculty at The School of Ballet Theatre UK , teaching daily classes , men technique , Pas de Deux , Repertoire and pointework , as well assisting with rehearsals for the Company’s upcoming tours

Charlotte Gouch

Charlotte trained professionally at Laine Theatre Arts.

Owens in Flashdance (International Tour); Tina Sparkle in Strictly Ballroom

Wales Theatre Toronto); Dale Tremont in Top Hat (Aldwych Theatre London and

UK Tour); Penny Johnson in Dirty Dancing (2023 revival at the Dominion Theatre,

London, First-ever National Tour, West End revival at The Piccadilly Theatre

London and the original German production in Berlin), Margot in Legally Blonde

(Deaugu Opera House, Korea); Bombalurina in CATS (European Tour);

Patty Simcox and also understudying/playing Sandy in Grease (UK Tour); Him &

Kane Walcott

Kane Walcott is a professional dancer and choreographer from Milton Keynes. He went on to train at London Studio Centre, specialising in jazz alongside ballet, contemporary, and tap. Kane’s diverse career spans television, film, and stage, with credits including Britain’s Got Talent, The BRIT Awards, Netflix’s Dance 100, and Captain Marvel 2. He has also choreographed and performed for major brands and artists, and now teaches at various institutions including London Studio Centre, ArtsEd, Laine Theatre Arts, and Arts1.

Harry Hughes

Following the retirement of Betty Laine OBE, Harry was appointed Executive Director of Laine Theatre Arts in 2023. A graduate of Laine Theatre Arts, Harry has enjoyed a wide-ranging performance career across stage, screen and voice.

 His television credits include Holby City and Casualty (BBC), and he has performed with Il Divo for the Royal Variety Performance at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff. Harry played ‘Nicky’ in the band TOYBOIZE, alongside BAFTA-nominated Jamie Deeks (Talkback Thames/Fremantle Media).

Harry has also appeared as a dancer on The X Factor  (Brian Friedman, ITV), Toyota Launch at the Excel Centre (Kim Gavin), performed at Wembley Stadium for the FA Cup Final and starred in seven pantomimes alongside the UK’s longest-running Dame, Berwick Kaler, at York Theatre Royal.

As a voice-over artist, Harry has appeared in both series of Old Peter’s Russian Tales (BBC Radio 4), contributed to multiple projects with Pearson’s language programmes, and has worked as an animation voice artist for the Disney Channel and Playhouse Disney for over ten years.
