Ages: 13 years and under (taken January 1st)

Dancers nominated for this will be needed in Birmingham from July 14-July 17th
​
Artist of the Globe is a special competition within our Finals where the most contemporary talented dancers from the globe are nominated to compete to become our ‘Young Artist of the Globe’ Winner.
Our Artist of the Globe competition is a phenomenal platform for dancers with exception talent in contemporary dance. Dancers will be exposed to leading contemporary school directors & will have the opportunity to meet and learn from talented dancers from all over the globe.
Dancers must receive nominations at a qualifier to compete in this.
TO BE NOMINATED DANCERS MUST:

Compete with a Contemporary solo

The Contemporary solo must score 90 points and be placed in the Upper Division for the Finals

Dancers must also receive a nomination- the above does not automatically qualify you for DOTG.

Any nominations at qualifiers are FINAL & not subject to appeal​

Once nominated dancers will take part in the following.
CONTEMPORARY CLASSWORK
Dancers will take part in a 1-hour 15 Contemporary class
This class will be scored by a panel of Directors from Leading Contemporary Schools
The scores from the class will count towards 40% of overall marks
CONTEMPORARY SOLO
The mark from the dancer’s contemporary solo will count towards 60% of their overall mark

CONTEMPORARY PIECE GALA PERFORMANCE
All nominated dancers will be invited to take part in in our special Gala contemporary piece. Choreographer to be announce soon…
​
HOW IT WORKS?
Once dancers have completed their classwork & performance, the top 2 dancers will be announced and will later dance again at the Classical Gala.
Our Runner up & Winner will be announced at the end of our Classical Gala
